Before David Lynch made the film Blue Velvet, he made a short film titled, Blue Cotton due to budget constraints. Upon showing the short film to investors, he was able to secure funding for Blue Velvet. While blue velvet is a more expensive material, blue cotton is still a very luxurious fabric and very classy as well.
